Admission Guidelines

  • Beginners, Intermediate and Advance students are welcome.  

  • Kids 2 Hours, Teens 3 Hours, Adults 3 Hours per class

  • Applications are accepted throughout the year.

  • All classes are limited in size to insure that each student is learning.

  • Courses are held during the Fall, Spring & Summer semesters. 

  • Home School, After School and Summer Camp is provided during the year. 

  • The Sugar Land School of Fine Art admits students of any race, color, or national or ethnic origin to all the rights privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the Sugar Land School of Fine Art.  It does not discriminate on the basis of gender, sexual orientation policies, admissions policies, scholarship and other school-administered programs.

  • All students must register for classes within their age group.   

  • All applicants are required to go through the admission process before they are able to attend class(s). 

 

  • To apply for admission call 832-364-7101 to schedule an appointment.   Applicants are asked to bring some of their art work or portfolio if they have art work to show.  If the applicant is accepted they will register for class or classes at that time. 

  • The applicant and or parent will be asked to read the student hand book.  The consent and acknowledgement form accompanying the student handbook is completed and signed by the student or parent/guardian during the admission process. 

  • Experienced students are scheduled for auditions upon receipt of their admission application.  Experienced students will then be placed in existing class openings upon completion of their audition and interview. 

  • Applicants with no prior experience are also interviewed and evaluated.  Applications are welcome throughout the year and are equally considered.

Home School Program

The Sugar Land School of Fine Art is proud to work with home school students and groups within or outside our regular classes and we welcome homeschool students. 

Morning, Afternoon and Evening classes are available.

Registration Guidelines

Please review all paper work for accuracy before submitting.  Enrollment cannot be processed without complete information and payment in full. 

Course numbers, submitted on registration forms must be accurate.  The Sugar Land School of Fine Art is not responsible for incorrect information.  The registration forms are processed in the order they are received, on a first-come, first served basis. 

Registration forms must be filled out completely.  Registration forms must include student and parent/guardian signatures on the form acknowledging and agreeing to the school policies.  

Registrations are processed in the order they are received, on a first-come, first served basis.  All students are encouraged to register early; classes fill very quickly.

To register and apply for admission call 832-364-7101 to apply for admission.  Registration forms are not accepted via mail, email or fax. 

Currently Enrolled Students 

Registration forms are available at the front desk to pre-register, to request a transfer or to add a class or classes. 

Leaving Campus

 

Please remember that student attendance is crucial to learning.  We ask that appointments be scheduled outside of school hours as much as possible.   Also note that picking up a child early on a regular basis results in missed opportunities to learning. 

 

Class Schedules

Students are expected to maintain a class/course schedule to fulfill each period or class(s) as scheduled.  Exceptions may be made to transfer to another class by calling the office and filling out the proper request form by the student or parent(s) with approval of the administration office.

Full Classes

The school reserves the right to cancel courses that are undersubscribed and to determine the point at which a course is considered to be full.  After a course is filled, no additional students will be accepted.  

Waiting List

When classes are full students or parents/guardian can request to be placed on the waiting list for that particular class.   When a spot is available the first person on the list will be notified to have the opportunity to register for the class.

Visitors

 

Visitors are not allowed in the class room.  Only students are allowed in the classes.
